JERRY SEINFELD'S UNFROSTED GETS STAR-STUDDED FIRST TRAILER FROM NETFLIX

Netflix has released the first trailer for comedian Jerry Seinfeld's new movie, Unfrosted.

Inspired by a routine from Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up, Unfrosted dives into the creation of Pop Tarts in the early 1960s. To help tell this story, Seinfeld has enlisted an array of recognizable celebrities, and many can be seen in the new star-studded trailer. This includes Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger after a sneak peek image previously revealed him in the role. The new trailer can be viewed below.

The classic sitcom Good Times is getting rebooted at Netflix with its first trailer released.

Netflix's Ghostbusters Animated Series Gets Exciting Update From Frozen Empire Director
Director Gil Kenan shares an exciting update on the new Ghostbusters animated series, which is set to release on Netflix.

“It’s a huge cast. I don’t know how it got so big,” Seinfeld said of the ensemble cast. “I remember that we had nobody for a long time. And then Hugh Grant called and said he heard about the movie, and he wanted to be Tony the Tiger. Then, the next thing I knew, everybody was in it, and it was incredible.”

Seinfeld also wrote the script with Spike Feresten, Andy Robin, and Barry Marder. Robin executive produced with Marder and Cerylanne Martin, while Seinfeld produced with Feresten and Beau Bauman.

“We love the idea of grown-up men in suits talking about cereal all day,” Seinfeld said about the movie, per Netflix. “The silliness of how they look and what they talk about just seemed like a fantastic world to be in. You want to put Jim Gaffigan in a tight suit and a blustery kind of face [shouting], ‘And you gentlemen better take this work more seriously!’ But it’s about crinkles and puffs and sprinkles and pops, and they’re adults.”

How True Is Unfrosted as Told by the Movie?

The film is based on true events in the sense that the story of Pop Tarts originates from Battle Creek, Michigan, where Kellogg's and Post were located and competing with a breakfast war. However, Seinfeld has said that the rest of the movie is "complete lunacy." He added, "We’re going to tell you a story, but if we want to do something funny that doesn’t make any sense, we’re going to do that too."

Unfrosted will premiere on Netflix on May 3, 2024.
