FAMOUS ROCK STAR LOANS KEARNEY CAR MUSEUM HIS PRIVATE COLLECTION OF AUTOMOBILES

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The American Automobile Experience has received six classic cars from Metallica’s front man.

James Hetfield, singer and songwriter for heavy metal band Metallica, is loaning his private six car collection to the car museum in Kearney. His classic cars came from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Blueprint Engines and local Kearney donors reached out to the Los Angeles car museum and struck a deal to have Hetfield’s cars on loan for a year.

Pete Stout, Director of Business for Blueprint Engines, said the vocalist wanted to take his cars on a tour much like how Metallica goes on tours.

“He is a huge car guy and he wanted to be able to share some of his private collection with the world,” said Stout. “Here at the American Automobile Experience here in Kearney, we’re excited to have this fabulous display of vehicles here for a year.”
