SHE-HULK STAR DISHES ON DAREDEVIL RELATIONSHIP AND POLARIZING TWERKING SCENE

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany addresses two major talking points of the short-lived Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries. The lead actor reveals whether her character and Matt Murdock are still an item and how the memorable twerking scene with Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion came about.

Speaking at the Superhero Comic Con in San Antonio this past weekend (via Agents of Fandom), Maslany opened up on Charlie Cox's Daredevil, with whom She-Hulk shares a steamy romantic affair during the Disney+ series. Maslany suggested Jennifer Walters is exploring her dating options, but would hook up again with the vigilante in a heartbeat. "I think she’s keeping her options open," Maslany said. "But I’m pretty sure she'd hit that again!"

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 2 may be in trouble at Disney, but Marvel Studios could use Jennifer Walters in another capacity to bolster the MCU.

Maslany also delved into how the post-credits twerking scene featuring Megan Thee Stallion materialized. The rap superstar appeared as a fictionalized version of herself and Jennifer's client, showing Jennifer how to do the suggestive dance. The moment was polarizing, with many fans claiming the twerk-off was inappropriate for MCU programming. Meanwhile, others saw it as one of the factors that led to its earning a record-low 32% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes among MCU series. Maslany, however, has long been on record about how much she enjoyed the scene, saying she got to practice by attending some of Megan's concerts. "I had been to multiple Megan Thee Stallion concerts before this. I was ready. That was the greatest moment of my life," she said. Co-star Jameela Jamil (Mary MacPherran/Titania) suggested to Maslany and head writer Jessica Gao that Megan appear in She-Hulk.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Was a Polarizing Series

Despite solid critical reviews, She-Hulk never got MCU enthusiasts on board, with many also criticizing its controversial visual effects and some story arcs. Also featuring Ginger Gonzaga, Mark Ruffalo and Josh Segarra, She-Hulk marked the final Phase Four MCU series.

The prospects of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 2 appear slim. Maslany ruled out a second season, believing it would be too costly considering the visual effects. However, Marvel Studios and Disney seemingly haven't ruled out continuing the series, with behind-the-scenes discussions taking place about its prospects.

Maslany recently accepted a role in The Nightbeast, Amazon's planned horror-comedy pilot which would see her character have a sexual affair with the boogeyman in her son's closet. The Orphan Black star also serves as a producer on The Nightbeast.
