TWO MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS WIN $1 MILLION PRIZES
The Massachusetts State Lottery announced that two people recently won $1 million prizes.
Mark Farina won $1 million from the $2,000,000 50X Cashword instant ticket game.
Farina purchased the winning ticket from the Resendes Market in Braintree, according to lottery officials.
He chose the cash prize option and received $650,000 before taxes.
Farina told lottery officials that he plans to use the money to make home improvements and towards retirement and family.
The DAC Trust also won a $1 million prize. The prize was from the 50X Cash instant ticket game.
Massachusetts State Lottery said the winning ticket was sold at a Mobil in Melrose.
Maureen Lane, who represented the trust, received the prize in a one-time payment of $650,000.
Both stores that sold the winning ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus, according to lottery officials.
