WILL JERRY REALLY PAY $450 MILLION IN LEGAL LOSS?

DALLAS - The NFL Sunday Ticket has been a source of joy for millions of football fans across the country - the way watch out-of-market games. With more and more people migrating to different regions of the country, it was a way to stay connected to their hometown team.

But now? As the result of a lawsuit, teams - including the Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones - could be responsible for paying courtroom winners anywhere between $384 and $450 million each.

A recent verdict in an anti-trust lawsuit involving the pricing of the package has put the NFL and its owners on the wrong side of a $4.1 billion settlement.

Of course, the league is going to contest the ruling and file an appeal because this is a massive amount of money even for the NFL. Mike Florio of PFT says It should be no surprise that a ruling of this magnitude is being contested.

“Of course the NFL believes the claims are baseless and without merit,” Florio wrote. “They’ve believed it all along. They won’t let something like, you know, a jury verdict change their tune — not with multiple avenues for appeal available.”

And we will say this, as fans of the game: Maybe this lawsuit ruling will cause those in charge to make it a little easier for the little guy to watch America's favorite sport.
