WWE SUPERSTAR PULLED FROM RAW, DEEMED MEDICALLY UNABLE TO COMPETE

"Big" Bronson Reed has been receiving a massive push in WWE, successfully tearing through multiple high-profile superstars.

This includes former WWE Champions like Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, The Miz, and Sheamus.

Unfortunately, it looks like he won't be making a highly-anticipated appearance in tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW due to medical reasons.

Today, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced on X that Reed will not be able to wrestle tonight and that he was looking for a potential replacement.

"Plenty of good vibes to go around, but I'm here with a bit of bad, breaking news," Pearce said. "Bronson Reed, medically unable to compete tonight, has COVID. Out of the Intercontinental Championship Contenders Triple Threat."

"And who steps in? Well, I can assure you I'm working on that, and you will have an answer tonight, 8/7 Central, only on USA."

Reed replied soon afterward, insisting that he will be back with a vengeance.

"No man in WWE can stop me. So mother nature had to go and do them a favor. I'll recover and be back to destruction ASAP!"

All of this comes from earlier in the day when Reed revealed that he tested positive for COVID in a post on Instagram with a caption simply reading, "Life."

He shared a photo of the test along with a group of images showcasing painful moments and people watching TV from pop culture.

Before this news broke, Reed was a favorite to win the Intercontinental Championship Contenders Tournament, where he would find himself facing off against Bron Breakker for the title.

Unfortunately, it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer for the two powerhouses to face off.

Reed has had two tenures with WWE. From 2019-21, he wrestled in NXT, where he won the NXT North American Championship from Johnny Gargano in a Steel Cage Match. He would eventually lose the title to Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, now known as Swerve Strickland, in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Reed was released from WWE on Aug. 6, 2021, alongside multiple other NXT Superstars, including Tyler Rust, Bobby Fish, and Mercedes Martinez.

Reed returned to WWE in 2022 as a member of the main roster. He has found himself in numerous title matches since then and won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2024.

While this is an unfortunate setback for Reed, it's clear that Triple H and WWE have big plans for the Australian wrestler. Hopefully, we'll see more of him very soon.
