For parents like me who remember their now 14-year-old daughter absolutely LOVING Yo Gabba Gabba on Nickelodeon, the reboot of the new Yo Gabba GabbaLand brings back a bit of nostalgia. The show is set to debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 9.

Now we're getting our first look at a teaser for the show, and a full line-up of musical guest stars.

All About 'Yo Gabba GabbaLand'

Yo Gabba GabbaLand is a new series inspired by the Emmy-nominated show. It aired on Nickelodeon from 2007-2015. It was a hit with parents and kids alike.

Like the original series, the new Yo Gabba GabbaLand features Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee, and Plex. But it includes a new host Kammy Kam, played by Kamryn Smith. Parents may remember the original host as DJ Lance Rock.

Smith, who is known to her friends as Kammy, is 12 years old and an up-and-coming actress and dancer. According to her website, she's been dancing since she was 2 1/2 years old and even appeared on the TV show Dance Moms.

Also like the original show, Yo Gabba GabbaLand will include musical guest stars known as "Super Music Friends." The artists will sing songs that bring viewers back to the themes of the show including creativity, growth, and friendship. The goal is to teach kids lessons through song and dance.

Among the musical acts you can expect to see:

  • Anderson .Paak
  • Portugal. The Man
  • Thundercat
  • Betty Who
  • The Linda Lindas
  • Miyavi
  • Cory Wong & Antwaun Stanley
  • Kurt Vile
  • The Drums
  • The Interrupters

Not only will there be musical guests, but there will be other guests familiar to parents appear throughout the series including actors Gillian Jacobs (Community), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts), and Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) just to name a few. Plus, you may see Grammy Award winners Duplo, Flea, and Big Daddy Kane.

How Can We Watch 'Yo Gabba GabbaLand'?
