The buzz started with Timothy Olyphant's inclusion in the new eight-episode series, an actor known for featuring in a wide variety of shows and movies, such as HBO's Deadwood, the 2007 Hitman movie, and the fourth Die Hard film Live Free or Die Hard. Now, new names have been added to Terminator Zero's cast list, per Collider. Rosario Dawson, known for bringing back the titular role in Ahsoka, will be playing an advanced AI known as Kokoro.

Terminator Zero is in Good Hands

Terminator Zero will be produced by the legendary Japanese animation studio Production I.G., best known for their work on the beloved Ghost in the Shell franchise. Given their history in dark, action-packed science fiction, they seem a perfect fit for a franchise with such gritty sci-fi as Terminator. The new animated series is dedicated to maintaining the continuity of the original series while building on it, taking the audience back to the key moment in the franchise's alternate history when the AI Skynet becomes self-aware. The plot will focus on Malcolm Lee and a soldier sent from the future to protect him. This will no doubt be an epic battle for the fate of the world and all those who call it home.
